How Do Sculptra Injections Work?
Sculptra injections offer a unique mechanism of action. Upon injection, the PLLA micro-particles are gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and help stimulate collagen production.
Sculptra targets the underlying causes of facial ageing, replacing lost collagen to provide a framework that gradually restores the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.
Sculptra is delivered in a series of treatment sessions spaced over a few months. This approach allows for a gradual transformation, avoiding a sudden, dramatic change to your appearance.
While the results are not immediate, they can be long-lasting. With appropriate treatment, the
results of Sculptra can last for up to two years.
Where can it be used?
Sculptra is used on most parts of the face (except on the forehead and above the lips). Common areas of use include cheeks, temples, chin, and marionette lines.
Does Sculptra® treatment hurt?
A local anesthetic cream is used so the treatment is comfortable.
When will I see the results?
Following an average of three treatments, most patients will see a noticeable difference in first six weeks.
Will I need any time off to recover?
There is no down time, you can return to work or normal activities immediately after the treatment.
How long will it last?
